Another chance to win a free copy of the digital download version of Euro Truck Simulator 2.

You will win a unlock code for the game, this means it will make the game full and unrestricted.

This is another screenshot competition, same as the first competition's, you can enter a maximum of 3 ( three ) screenshots, and you can change them anytime until midnight the day before the competition ends.

The best way to get the best pictures is to use the free camera, to do this you have to modify a file in the euro truck simulator 2 folder in your documents folder

find these two lines in the game file

00:00:00.290 : uset g_developer "0"
and
00:00:00.291 : uset g_console "0"

and change where the "0" are at the end of each line to "1" so they will look like this

00:00:00.290 : uset g_developer "1"
00:00:00.291 : uset g_console "1"

You can then use the numpad keys to move the camera around 8 is forward, 5 is backwards, 4/6 are left and right

Information

I mention about enabling the free roam camera ( by pressing 0 ) which should then help members get a better picture/angle of the game area.

I would like to point out that you do not need to edit the game file or edit its text to allow the use of the free camera, but I might help you get an advantage other the other entires ( you never know  ;D )

Screenshots again can be anything that is in any of the SCS trucking simulator games, all submitted screenshots have to be in .jpg format.
Screenshots can not be larger than 1024x768

All files must be hosted on a free image hosting site, and no hot linking from other website/forums is allowed.

The more imaginative you are the more of a chance you will.

Again sorry but MODS are only allowed if the member submitting the screenshot for the competition actually helped/created it (I think it is not a good idea for a member to win a free game using another person/s work.

When you are uploading the screenshot to the image hosting site, resize it to fit a 17inch screen or 1024x768 resolution ( as any bigger will mess up members screens when they go to the thread

Important

Competition will close in two weeks from today, at Midnight on the 20th Feb 2013, entries after this time will not be accepted.

Deciding The Winner

I have decided that the winner for this competition will be decided by a poll vote after the closing date, each members 3 entries will be added to the poll and the winner will be decided on the most votes and the poll will run until midnight on the 25th Feb 2013 this should give enough members/staff a chance to vote, and winner will be notified after this date via a private message.

Also members/staff that enter the competition will also be allowed a single vote.

Any member who breaks the above rules ( I have tried to keep to the minimum amount of rules ), will be disqualified and have his/her entries into the competition removed ( deleted )

Important

Members can not edit their screenshots before being entered into the competition.

Adding a screenshot to this thread you will automatically accept the competition rules, any and all violations will result in your entry being void, and it does not matter if the problem with your entry is not noticed until after the closing date.

PS Good Luck

My New Wheel

After having to use a offical xbox 360 steering wheel to play Euro Truck Simulator 2, as I could not afford to buy a decent steering wheel and I had the xbox 360 wheel just sitting there doing nothing, and as I wanted to continue to help with the beta testing of ETS2 I decided to try the xbox wheel after a small discussion with Pavel about it, I got to admit the wheel was not to bad at all, there was off course a few problems with it, the turning circle is tiny compared to most gaming wheels ( only 180degrees from lock to lock ), and the other problem was not enough buttons so I had to also use the keyboard for most of the games functions, not to mention that the pedals only had the brake and gas pedals ( no clutch )

But after my family decided instead of buying me a present for Christmas, they would donate money to the M@x G27 fund, well I am pleased to say that I am now the proud owner of a slightly used Logitech G27

Well what can I say about this wheel, for a start it is the complete opposite of the Xbox 360 wheel, its very strong, comfortable to use, has 16 buttons ( plenty to assign functions in ETS2 ), has the full 270degree turning circle, so the wheel acts like a real wheel in the game ( when set up correctly ), so a small bit of movement on the G27 the game wheel moves the exact same amount, unlike the Xbox 360 wheel, which if you turned the wheel 2 inches it was the equivalent to a half a turn of the gaming wheel, which is ok once you get used to it, but has a lot of effect on the smaller roads or the motorways when you can lose control of the truck by the smallest turn.

Well my son ( who is 13 ) is a trucking nut, and has been around trucks most of his young life, and has actually traveled with me across the continent, not to mention his two uncles who are owner drivers and he spends a lot of time with them, not just in the passenger seat but at their workshop when they are doing routine maintenance on their trucks, and actually gets his hands dirty by helping them, with the servicing and washing of their trucks.

So I recorded a short video of him driving a virtual truck ( Volvo Fh16 ) in the game, and posted it to Utube.

A short video of my 13 year old son testing the logitech G27 steering wheel and pedals, while also using a full manual ( with clutch ) 12 speed manual splitter, I think he drives it good considering his young age.

Please remember if you want to comment ( I love to hear from the people who visit my little blog ), that the video was recorded with a 13 year old driving, and he makes a few mistakes, and does not shift the gears on the right RPM for better Eco driving ( he just loves to hear the turbo whine )

For more information on the Stobart skins used in the video please go to the TSGM forums

Stobart Rugby Trailer Skins

My son is a massive trucking fan, and loves the world famous Eddie Stobart brand above all others, and has asked me to make him a small selection of some of their trailers, I agreed ( big mistake ), and decided instead of doing the normal trailers, or biomass etc, I would push my limited skills to their limits and do their Stobart Super League trailers ( or at least a couple of them ), but it seems to have grown, and I am upto 11 of them now ( all a work in progress )

These are just Two of the trailers I have that I am currently working on, there are Nine more in the process bringing it to a total of Eleven.

I can not guarantee that all of them will make it into the final Eddie Stobart trailer pack, but I am trying my best, and have indeed lost count of the amount of man hours I have put into my little creation so far ( it runs around 60-80 hours or there abouts ), but I think the time spend so far has been worth it, or am I wrong?
