Finally Getting The Hang Of

Doing truck skins, it seemed ages since I first started to create the trailer skins, and now I have advanced to doing trucks, who would ever think it possible, to learn so much in such a short period of time.

I have been working on a few projects, and doing most of the creation in my trucks cab, while I am on break, or at night when I am resting ( it's better than watching TV or a Movie ).

My latest creation is my best work thus far, I decided to complete the Virginia truck skin with their 30th Anniversary Volvo FH16 750, driven by world famous trucker Luke Vernon, you can follow Luke's exploits as he travels around Europe in his truck with Bertie, by clicking this link to his Utube page ( Bertie should be world famous in his own right if you ask me ).

Below is a selection of screenshots of my version of Luke's real life Volvo FH16, I hope you like it, it seems I have a few members of the forums that like it, and as it is being beta tested now it should be up for download soon, the beta test is running to make sure that I have everything lined up correctly ( both sides of the truck )

My First Ever Truck Skin

Well I have been looking into doing a skin for a truck for a long time, as I have got pretty good at doing the trailers, I thought it would give the Virginia Logistics Scania to go along with One of my first ever trailer skins.

This is the real life version of the Logistics company that is based in Ireland

This skin will be up for download from the forums, as soon as I finish checking, rechecking and making sure all the logo's line correctly etc

I am hoping to start doing more truck skins, but it's a slow process ( well it is for me but maybe it is just me that is slow ), it can be a real pain to make everything line up correctly, getting the right amount of colour/detail for the logo's, I don't think I done to bad for my first effort, but time will tell, the more practice I get I think the quicker and better my skins will turn out ( like the trailer skins, I started out doing simple versions, then made my way up to doing more complicated skins )

UK Super Market Trailer Pack

I have been working on my latest creations over the last week or 2, while waiting for my loads etc, and have created a few skins of well known UK super markets, most of them are my own creation, and not copied from their actual trailers, see if you can spot which is which?

It would seem that I am actually getting good at some thing, I have had a bit of feedback from some of the members of the forums, and they seem to like my trailers for the most part, it even seems that several of them only use my trailers.

I would also like to remind you that the first TSGM forums competition closes today at midnight ( 05/12/2012 ), and if you intend to enter, your entry MUST have completed your entry by midnight, any member who enters the competition after this time will be disqualified, you can enter the competition for FREE just click HERE and submit your SCS trucking game screenshot, it is that simple, and Michal from SCS will judge the entries on the 6th Dec 2012, winner will be announced on the forums after this date, the winner will receive a unlock code for the digital version of Euro Truck Simulator 2, via email.

(WIP) My latest Creations

I got a bit bored today, so I decided to test my skills by doing more trailer skins ( I still have not got the skills to manage to do a truck yet )

These are my latest creations and are still in the beta stage and may change from the images shown

 

As you can see my skills are getting better slowly, and I am fairly confident, and allow my imagination to go wild ( the rear of the Salisbury's and Asda trailers )

Side note, there is not long left for the first TSGM ETS2 competition, so if you want to enter now is the time, you have until Weds 5th December 2012 to get your entries in, as the competition is being judged by Michal from SCS on the 6th, winner will be announced on the forums and by private message and the Euro Truck Simulator 2 digital download code will be emailed to the winner

After a bit more practice on the skins

I am starting to get the hang on doing skins for the trailers for Euro Truck Simulator 2, and think I am getting pretty good at it, after a private message requesting me to skin a trailer for one of the forum members, I gladly took up the challenge, and came up with this

This is my version of the above trailer, it seems that a couple of the members on the forums seem to like it, what do you think?

I am not sure what trailer skin to do next, but I am thinking of the world famous Eddie Stobart trailer and do two of their trailers, their normal trailer and their bio-mass trailers aswell, but I will have to check on what projects I got to finish, and also my other commitments.

UK Haulage Trailer Skin Pack Released

Well I think it is about time the members of the TSGM forums can download my latest trailer skins, I have released my UK Haulage trailer skin pack

Link to the thread to download these is HERE I hope you enjoy using them, I had a blast creating them, and considering how little experience I have had doing skins for any truck simulator game, I don't think they came out to bad.

Don't for get you can still win a digital download copy of Euro Truck Simulator 2 by following this link TSGM ETS2 COMPETITION, and remember the forums is free to join, and the entry into the ETS2 competition is also free to enter, all you have to do is enter a maximum of 3 ( three ) screenshots from any of the SCS trucking games ( yes you have read that correctly, it is that simple ).

Uk Haulage Trailer Skin Pack Coming Soon

Well I have been doing a lot practice to the art of making skins for Euro Truck Simulator 2's trailers, and considering I have never ever done this before, I have completed four UK trucking companies trailers, they are not perfect, but look ok for a beginner.

This is the picture that will be released with the skin pack, so members of the TGSM forums will be able to download, so they can see the trailers before they actually commit to the download, the files are already in place to be shared with members, but until I check and double check the trailers to see if there are any problems, mis-prints, and mistakes I won't release it

Also a quick update on the forums, so far we have nearly 500 members, and growing on a daily basis, the mods section I think is One of the best on the internet for Euro Truck Simulator 2, currently we have over 260 mods, just for ETS2.

I will update the forums, and the blog when the release of the MADxMAX UK skin pack is released, so check back daily for updates on the skin pack and other projects.

I also take requests for trailer skins, if you contact me via the private message system on the TSGM forums, and of course supply pictures of the trailer you would like to be able to use in your version of ETS2

A small update

Well as I am soooooo busy lately it has been hard to find the time to continue to post on the blog, aswell as the forums.


But I have been playing about with the truck models in Euro Truck Simulator 2, and managed to remove the globetraveller  and added a John Raymond transport Logo instead ( to go along with the trailer I released )

Finally

Well I have been a big fan of SCS and their trucking game for years, and have always wanted to try my hand at skinning a trailer and maybe a truck, well I am please to say that I have managed to make a start on the trailer skin, the skin is a very simple version of John Raymond Transport from Bridgend South Wales.

I have included a couple of photo's of their trailer logo so you can compare it to my version.

Below is my version of the trailer from the above pictures

I don't think it came out to bad considering I have only attempted this kind of thing once before, my first attempt was ok but decided it was not good enough to release, the trailer above is my second attempt as different companys logo and is available on the TSGM forums along with loads more that are ready for download. Please note the above trailer was in the beta stage when the screen shots was taken, there is a final version on the forums ready for downloading.

I have also started to play about with the truck, so far I have only tried with the Volvo as I wanted to remove the globe traveller logo from above the windscreen, and replace it with the JRT logo, I have included a few screenshots below of this, this version is not ready for release as I want to tweak the logo, and add more JRT information onto the side of the trucks cab
