Doverline Personal Truck Skin

Well it has been some time since I have posted any screenshots of the truck skin that I personally use for the Life Of A Virtual Trucker series that are posted on Utube, I have made some minor changes since the last screenshots where published, mainly the difference is that I have added Roadrunner and Wile E Coyote to the sides of the cab, front and a larger image to the rear ( see attached screenshots )

It has been some time since I have been upto doing any truck or trailer skins for the game, you of course will know this if you have been in contact with me via the forums, utube or the TSGmods.com Facebook pages, I am now on the mend ( slowly ) but I am starting to get well enough to be able to consider doing small edits/skins, I am now completely back to my normal self but I am getting there, so if you have made a request please feel free to recontact me to remind me who you are, what you wanted and for what truck or trailer models.

New countries, new opportunities

During development of DLC Scandinavia we felt that our roads need further push of variation and fidelity.

There are tons of new assets like new highway junctions, local roads with new crossroads, or new types of roads with different lane count on each side, as it often happens in reality. The main idea off course is to make sure they actually look and feel close to their actual Scandinavian representation.

Check out the following screenshots that bring a little glimpse of how it is shaping up:

ETS2MP Part 7 London To Rotterdam

Part 7 of the multi-player virtual trucker series, a short hop from London To Rotterdam, flying solo this time for a change, xandergrey666 from the Utube channel Gamer's Paradise was supposed to have joined me on this little hop, but his internet provider has let him down so could not make it.

© ETS2MP Reversing Problems

It seems that some of the players on the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multi-Player mod have some trouble reversing their trucks and trailers onto the loading bays, I did try to help this poor player called Paul, but he either did not want to listen or couldn't figure out what I was trying to get across to him, or it could be a simple case that he does not understand English.

This video is not ment to take the mick out of Paul, but its mainly to show you how impatient some of the ets2mp players can be, I waited for around 15mins for Paul to shunt around the Pospeed yard trying to drop off his trailer, while other players just came straight in not bothering to give other players 5 mins to drop their loads off, I know its in a non collision area of the map, but good manners dont cost nothing do they, Ive had many a good chat with other players while waiting my turn on the loading bays of this amazing mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2.

This is also a back up video ( as I was due to upload other videos but due to harddrive failure, I have lost around 80gb of gaming videos, including 3 of the Flight Simulator X learning to fly videos, so the regular views of the TSGmods.com channel can watch this short video while spend hours re-recording the videos

The first news about design

Greetings,

Starting of with tad of unfortunate news right away: we had to postpone the Achievements update of Euro Truck Simulator 2 to get extra two weeks for additional polish. Sorry about that little delay, it's almost there and still coming, just a bit later this September.

Now the good stuff

During feature development, lots of time is spent discussing the designs and how the gameplay is revolving around particular feature and how to evolve it further. However we realized we seldom shared such kind of behind the scenes info with you...

One of the features that has been under discussion for a long time is another type of DLC - Rigid Trucks.

Having rigids in the game brings quite a bit of challenges for us - the developers, as we would have to touch an established gameplay formula, and for you - the drivers, as backing these beasts is far from easy!

Naturally we need to take care of seamless in-game integration, with physics, economy, loading / unloading places infrastructure... There is both good and bad there, this challenge may persuade us to reconsider the concept of trailer ownership. But you know us, the more ambitious we are in altering the gameplay, the more time we typically take to make this happen. We will push to arrive to a broad concept of trailer ownership, though here we will start with one particular case - a swap body trailer on which you'll be loading the containers, cisterns and other loads suitable for rigid truck transportation.

For a driver, this is going to be a whole new challenge, especially when it comes to loading and unloading cargo. So in case you thought your parking skill is near perfection with ETS2, think again! :) Rigids with attached swap body trailer will test your maneuvering skills again. Of course, if you are not a hardcore player or just prefer just to chill out and ride, auto-parking feature is still at your disposal.
